Stevie Weir: Glasgow & St Andrews Wedding Photographer

So, as you already know, I’m Stevie, a Glasgow and St Andrews wedding photographer. I’m not good with this stuff - my About page always feels like a bunch of answers to questions you never asked. But - I think you’ll want to know a little bit about me if you’re going to trust me to safeguard your memories and bring you joy for the rest of your life! So here’s a bit about who I am.

Firstly, I absolutely love dogs. I have two - Sam & Isla, both German Shorthaired Pointers. I also love coffee - not as much as I do my dogs, obviously, but it’s still a total preoccupation. Mountain biking is a huge passion of mine - there’s really nothing like being out in the elements rallying up and down mountains on two wheels. In my free time, I love to travel, both in Scotland and abroad. I live just outside Glasgow with my partner Becca, and our two dogs Sam and Isla who definitely deserve a second mention.

I’m a wedding photographer based in Glasgow, Scotland, which I consider a huge win. Being a Scottish wedding photographer has to be one of the most privileged jobs in the world - the natural beauty of this country is incredible and we’re in danger of taking it for granted, but photographers the world over love to come and shoot here, so I really am very lucky. I’ve been photographing weddings in Glasgow and throughout Scotland since 2006 - which seems like a long time now I see it written down, wow!

My approach to weddings is a delicate balance - I want to really be true to the spirit of what happened on the day, but I also want to play with it creatively. I love the idea of creating iconic images of newlyweds - something that feels a bit heightened and special, to match the once-ever energy of the day. I also love to catch the special moments that can only happen at a wedding - all the happy smiles, laughs, and even those moments where some guests just need to have a wee greet.
